My proposal:
Royal type
>Strong against: Dragon, Fairy, Fighting
>Weak against: Ghost, Ice, Steel
>Immune to: Dark
>Concept: Whereas Fairy and Dragon both represent the mythological side of Pokemon, Royal groups together all Pokemon which may be considered valorous and regal, sort of completing the trifecta of the folklore-ish types. (I understand the Japanese definition of "Fighting" might already cover these traits I've mentioned, but think of the dichotomy that exists between Fairy and Psychic and that's pretty much the distinction between Fighting/Regal).
>Pokemon retconned with "Royal type": Kingler, Gallade, Cofagrigus, Empoleon, Serperior, Regigias, etc.
Before you consider it a stretch, just think of how much more sense it makes than shit like "Sound" or "Light".
