Here's a top tip: literally everything that is designed has a concept it intends to communicate, literally everything. That thing exists to properly communicate it's concept to an audience.
Pokemon is designed to be a simulation of an adventure/coming of age story across a region. The Monsters and geography are designed specifically (and with hyperbole to express childlike wonder and awe) to get over a general theme and the actual atmosphere of the place it is based on.
If you have gotten to a point in your life where you are old enough to post on this board, but haven't gotten enough intelligence to instantly analyse something as fucking obvious as Pokemon then you've got something seriously wrong with you.
