The only fucking mystery to me are those ears. Why are they like that, so its ears don't get clogged with water? Otherwise it's a very nice design.

i like the typing and ability, wish it was electric water tho

but ultimately I'm just jelly cuz regular raichu has a way better design but he won't (probably) benefit any from this new forme which makes me sad

Raichu's been my bromon since gen 1, so an Alola form is a neat addition. My only fear is that there would be no way to breed an old Raichu, and there would be no way I could use the old form outside of transfering.

I bet you'll need to transfer from either RBY or XYORAS, and those transferred ones will breed Pichu that will evolve into regular Raichu. But any caught in Alola and bred from them will become Alolan.
