Pokedex bloat is a thing. Within a game or two we'll have 1000 pokemon. A lot of those are arguably redundant, and while everyones pokemon is someones favourite, we really do not need repeats of some of the filler pokemon, especially as it'll only stretch concepts and designs thinner and thinner.
Regional forms make a lot more sense, both in that given the way pokemon seem to work in universe they would adapt to new conditions and because it means we don't end up with more and more pokemon that never get used or show up after their debut.
>>27709391Nothing is stopping you using your old pokemon you dunce, regional forms are going to be for the pokemon caught in that region. Just trade/pokebank/whatever your old ones in.
