Why do some people act like 1000 pokemon is too much and should be avoided?

Honestly you can catch all current pokemon bar mythicals just playing for a few hours everyday for a month.

Probably less.

If I actively tried to catch all non mythicals and did a catch em all speedrun, I bet I could get everything in about 10 days and I work 5 days a week.
