I know Gen 1 like the back of my hand, I've played it countless times, almost always challenge runs like monotypes or Nuzlocke's or no evolution.
What grinding, I haven't had to grind in Gen 1 for years, the NPC's are braindead, the movesets are hilariously pathetic, it's effortless to beat it if you have the slightest idea what you're doing.
You're delusional, I wouldn't call any Pokémon game hard, but Gen 1 being being even close to the most difficult is a bad joke at best.
