Decent design and concept
The only flaw is that Dewott looked nice and then evolved into a semi-quadrupedal sealion thing that looks nowhere near as good

A quadrupedal swordman is a shit concept

its swords literally don't fit into their sheaths

its sheaths are in an awful position so it can't reach them with its stubby arms

it doesn't even work underwater because you need to be standing on something or otherwise braced against something to get any power behind sword swings

mixed attackers are worthless in Pokemon and it should have been physical

Design is solid, but movepool and ability needs some work. The biggest flaw that it's a STARTER. Would've gotten better treatment as a regular pokemon.

It doesn't live up to how cool Dewott looks.
The thing that bugs me the most about the design is how big the shell part on the back of his head is. It makes him look clunky.
Also, it wasn't until months after the game came out that we eve knew it could pull swords out of it's arms. That's pretty cool, and should have been in the sprite/original artwork.

Mega Lucario is banned because it can be good special or physical, not because it's mixed.

You don't run close combat on a nasty plot set and you don't run flash cannon on a swords dance set.

I was talking about Luc's offensive stat spread though. You won't be able to run both a purely physical and purely special set without having both passable offenses. And what would you call an offensive pokemon with nearly the same attacking stats without calling it "mixed"?
