>>27727345One of these retcons has precedence, and it's easily justifiable to say that they classified Clefairy as normal because they didn't know about Fairy-type until recently. Something like Alolan forms is completely new, and again, lazy genwun recolors with different types.
>Megas basically unanimously are disliked by competitive players. They don't look good either, in general. Someone's butthurt all right. I'm talking to him. He's clutching his pearls over non-essential things.Newsflash- not all features are made for competitive. The flashy megas are most likely for casuals. And yea, you sound butthurt
>We're getting new Pokemon, AND rehashes. Subtracting Megas from the game is a positive to me, so there is nothing really wrong with this, as much as I would also enjoy more developed mutations. Not enough new pokemon. And you're delusional if you think megas are going to disappear. all the old megas will remain. All the energy making these Alola forms could've went into making unique pokemon, like a cool grass/dragon instead of a palm tree with a long neck.
> I just hope they pander to me, not youI don't even like megas that much. A lot of them look goofy and as much as Gyarados having water/dark as a mega helps in shenanigans, they ruined his chance at being a dragon. But the biggest issue with Alola forms is just the new gimmick of this gen, like megas was for last gen. If you need to add new gimmicks each gen, it's going to get crowded. all that wasted effort on megas, then on Alolas, then on new gimmick for gen 8, etc. And Alola is intristically tied to Alola, at least megas can be used anywhere since it's not restricted to Kalos.
