Yes, with the exception that defeatist is always active on a mon, whereas Schooling won't trigger the "good" form unless Wishi is of a certain level.

In effect, it's "Defeatist but it reverts an evo instead of just dropping stats"

Also unlike most defeatist mons Wishi apparently has pretty fucking obscene BST

I feel like it's like a Primal form + Defeatist. I think people are saying it has God-like stats, so they wanted to balance it... this way, I guess.

I heard it might have a 200 base special attack stat. That's higher than Mega Mewtwo Y, and I'm sure its attack will be similar.

Who the fuck would use it if it had defeatist? It's too much a liability to use unless it's BST was near 1000 or something.

I just hope it's a stance change thing to make sure it doesn't have an actual ability instead of some retarded nerf like they did to Archeops.

The Pokemon with the highest BSTS that aren't legendaries, pseudos, or megas are:

>Slaking (670) - Truant
>Archeops (567) - Defeatist
>Arcanine (555)
>Florges (552)
>Volcarona (550)

Unless it's a Legendary, a pseudo-legendary, or a Mega, Game Freak doesn't allow anything to go above Arcanine's BST without having an ability that hinders it.

You've got high hopes. The math pointed to somewhere around 550-600 last time I checked, as well as a base Special Attack of ~150-200. Of course, I wasn't the one doing the math, so maybe people have been fucking with us in prior threads.

If not for its pitiful bulk, Archaeops would be fine. But it's only because it has 140 Attack that GF purposefully ruined it.

Arcanine could have greater BSTs than Archeops and STILL not need a Defeatist-like Ability to keep it in check. Just bump up its speed by those 12 points and you actually have a valid fucking Fire-dog.

We haven't seen it take any physical hits or launch any physical attacks though, so there's no way to know for sure.

I think this is what's been figured out so far

>55Hp
>---Atk
>---Def
>150~200 SpAtk
>120~140 SpDef
>80+ Speed

If it's physical stats are at all close to it's special ones, it's going to hit well over 600.

It's not really clear how it loses the form. It may not be at certain health, but rather when it takes a hit, like a super effective hit. Maybe any strong hit. But you may be able to switch it out and back in for school form.
