I understand why it was bad, and I'm aware that XY are among the weakest games in the series, but fuck if it wasn't a fun game to play, and while the Pokemon roster felt all over the place, it had so much variety it was impossible to end up with a team of Pokes you didn't like.
I spent far too much money on clothing in that game. I really hope S&M expand on character customisation.
