I'm calling it now. Alolan Raichu will NOT be able to learn Surf. Gamefreak has had far bigger fuck ups in the past. You wait and see.

The game will feel greatly paced until the second gym then you'll ace througj everything with zero dificulty.
Strong pokémon will be just handed to you.
Your rivals will not be intimidating at all.
The bad guys will constantly use the same pokémon.
Every single trainer will use up to 3 pokémon, except you, the champion and one or another special battle.
The post game will be non-existant.
The exciting new features they announce will be severely limited/misleading as fuck.

They're not big issues, but they're still things that bugged me about Amie. At least they made it so you properly groom your pokemon instead of just randomly rubbing them.

I wish regular Raichu could learn Surf in-game. Why can stuff like Furret, Tyranitar, and Rhydon learn it but not the pokemon with a built in surfboard tail? Why can a Ground/Rock type swim but not Raichu?

I want them to do this:
1/3 of pokestops remain the same, but instead of items give you a random amount of in-game currency separate from the hard currency. Like, silver coins instead of the gold ones you buy stuff at the shop with.
Another 1/3 are turned into Pokemarts which you can buy items at using the aforementioned currency. These won't have a cool down period, as they won't need it. Items at marts are unlocked as you level up.
The remaining stops are made into Pokecenters that heal your Pokémon (I think they already said they're gonna do something like this?). Make them have a longer cool down, like 30 mins, to avoid abuse if they're right next to a gym or something.
Would this work?
