Most of pseudolegendaries are avaliable only in the end of the game.

I'm also sick of the concept "you can only find this pokémon specifically in this location away from everything else", like Bagon.

This is one of the things I really like about Gen 1- the open-ended nature of the later part of the game means you can go and get anything new once you get Surf, so you don't have this issue.

Are you kidding? I love stuff like Bagon that actually encourages exploring. It's a bit annoying because it requires waterfall, so it's very late to acquire, but rare hidden pokemon like that are an awesome concept.

Better than just giving it a low encounter percentage to make you walk back and forth forever.

It's less so wanting that and more wanting time to train good Pokemon alongside the rest of your team instead of just rushing Exp Share right before the E4.

Also, Pokemon like Larvesta with such a late evolution really should get to be caught earlier.

Right. Can't you technically catch a Dratini once you've beaten Misty? You'd still need to progress past a lot of the game, but you could reach the Safari zone.

You'd still need to go through the rocket hideout and get the Silph Scope, but that still doesn't require beating any gyms. It'd be easy to complete that and pokemon tower, and you'd probably be able to do that with a solid team of level 20s. Alternatively, you could also buy one in the Game Corner at that point.

Especially since they both flip attack styles upon evolving, and how larvesta learns shit attacks outside of tms for most of its lifespan

I don't think Goomy was actually hard to get. You find it pretty easily on a route you're forced to progress on. The only thing difficult about it was figuring out how it evolves.
