So i bought my 5 year old nephew a 3ds and omega ruby for his birthday. little fucker enjoying the shit out the game. I am a hoenn baby. so im proud but realized in 15 years this kid will be nostalgic for ORAS like i was for R/S/E. Will remakes never stop happening. the fanbase just grows every year

The only good thing about Hoenn is their starters and some pokemons.

They got remade because consoles advanced. There will come a point in the near future where console games are no longer viable for Nintendo, and Pokemon as we know it will be nothing but a handheld memory.

I would have preferred a straight up Kanto remake to this shit, glitches and all.

Now I can never even play Emerald without playing the fucking ugly GBA version because they didn't remake its one standout feature in ORAS.

They never remake the third game. Your complaint is invalid.

The gameboy version isn't ugly. It looks good, it sounds good, it feels good. A modern version that was good would have been nice, but even though Emerald comes up short these times, it still has its own advantages, like the duplication glitch in the Battle Tower, as well as the ability to face both Wallace and a more difficult Steven.

Battle Frontier not being in ORAS was a big mistake, yes.
