Not sure why this is surprising but technology actually does cost a lot of money. There's a reason Nintendo systems are weaker yet cost half of compared to other game systems.
Gamefreak also had to design over 700 models while all Niantic had to do was steal the exact same models and make them slightly prettier.
Stop shilling for that shitty mobile mod. Gamefreak aren't the most reliable but they do least make games that work properly.
