I still don't understand what the point of that app was.
The 3DS can't have two applications open at once, so any utility it had as a Pokemon encyclopedia while playing the actual games was gone.
Also, if I remember correctly, the models and animations in Pokedex 3D aren't the same ones that are in X and Y, are they? If not, that's a huge waste of time and energy for a Pokedex app.
