The trainer has level 7 Meowth and its fighting a wild level 6 Trubbish in the area that looks like to be school building on the map not so far from Kukui's house.
So it seems we're going to catch wild Meowth evry early one, just Purrloin in Unova or Poochyena in Hoenn, guess it'll be the early Dark type shitmon.
