Special means it's legendary. And if you look on that page, all the legendary Pokemon's images are much bigger than the non-legendary pokemon (as in, Lunaala, Tapu Koko, Magearna and Solgaleo), except all the different forms of Zygarde.

It's a mythical, so yes, pretty much a legendary in general.

Most likely part of a trio or quartet of mythical guardians of the Alola isles.

Why would they waste special animations and into demos for this mon otherwise? Or yet alone give it a light version of "type Aura" under the form of a terrain?

Well Rotom was quite the Porygon and infinitely better Castform of this gen.

I thought it was just extremely rare like Spiritomb personally, was more shocked once I have discovered this thing was able to breed.

I have caught an Adamant Rotom during the first gameplay and been still playing the game since, luckily bred something better later.

They refer to it as a guardian.

I think guardian is just a new category for legendary pokemon that'll just end up being another meaningless interchangeable title.

Are you new? 'Mythical' is a category given to the Pokemon regulated as 'event legendaries' that aren't normally obtainable in game.

You know, like the mythical event giveaways that have been going on all year so far?

I always thought "event legendaries" referred to how you encounter them in the overworld like an RPG Maker event.
