and in this set, the difference between grade 9 and grade 10 is astronomical. base set 1 charizards first edition are still circulated. there was never any problems with the set.
the big deal about this set is that it's infamous for being part of a faulty print run. obvious factory lines go straight through the cards with holo effects (including reverse holos).
so if you buy chance happen to find a set with no factory lines, it's quite literally the most valuable set of all time. purely because it's so hard to find and opening a box is a huge gamble.
i accept the gamble, because i intend to open a box anyway, but if by some miracle it's the perfect set, i'm gonna be set for life.
