I just beat R1 in PS2 on an emulator. I tried doing it on the N64, but I got fed up with hax and the snail's pace.

I ran the Stadiums into the ground when I was a kid, but their rentals are too shite, their AI is shite and it over relies on hax, and they use shitty gen 1/2 mechanics.

I'd like a gen 6 single player game that tests your team-building skills.

Yeah, the AI is extremely lucky in Stadium 2. You basically just had to abuse Kadabra, explosion, and the two counters moves to win.

Reversal Heracross is also pretty good.

I loved how nicknaming mons in these games would tint them, and just in general how you could see your favorite pokemon as fleshed-out models

game itself was not very fun

Yeah. The first Stadium game did fix things like Focus Energy. It was great seeing Omastar, Venusaur, Gengar, and Aerodactyl in 3D for the first time.
