theme wise is always annoyed me that the rocket powered mecha pokemon was slow, wasn't good at shooting beams and pretty frail

also give it some unique ability that ties in with its unstable core shit, maybe slightly negative to make up for the big stats

How about a new form or something eerily similar to a Mega Evolution, but not quite?

The purpose would be to remove the seal from it's chest, unleashing Golurk's true power.

I could imagine it pulling a Perfect Zygarde, assuming it will have over +100 BST.

I would call it "Unsealed Golurk".

Speed: 75

Type: Ground/Fighting

Robots dont have to be humanoid. Golurk is very clearly based on a golem, which are much more humanoid than just your average robot like magnezone or klinklang. I don't agree with the dislike, but its still slightly humanoid like the other anon said

Arena Trap alone gives it a stronger niche than Golurk. It also might be a special attacker so it has stronger Ghost STAB and is harder to cripple.

Give it 30 more HP. That'll leave it with 119, 80, 80 defences which is pretty balanced for a Pokémon as slow as Golurk.

Then let it learn a few more moves to take advantage of Iron Fist/No Guard.

I never realized, Golurk's BST is really low at 483, similar to Glalie's. Golurk despretly needs bonuses to it's defenses and hp, maybe like a 20 st addition each

Yep. Despite its huge appearance, it actually can't take that many hits; needs a huge HP buff if it gets one. It's just *barely* bulkier than Darkrai.

I wouldn't care that much about its middling offensive presence if it could actually take hits in return.

He does have almost the same distribution, just with less BST.

Really a BST increase is warranted. I say they should go from the +10 in XY up to +20.

To be completely honest, it's not entirely not attention-based - it's just not "let's see how many replies I can get." It's more along the lines of: "I want to be as good of a tripfag as possible so that people don't mind me being there."
