>>27858937>Not to mention that they were drawn in gen 3 Sugi style and not gen 7 Ohmura styleI knew Huntshoot gave me a Blaziken feel, but wew. My very first starter in the Sapphire version was Blaziken and he was like one of the truest bros to me.
Still wish I had them rather than the ones implied to be true. The newest trio isn't doing much for me. The owl at least looks somewhat interesting, but at the same time, I've never felt this apathetic towards a starter trio, like holy shit. The heel wrestler cat could be a nice twist, but at the same time, feels like I've already gotten worn out of Fire starters. The siren just isn't for me, plain and simple, have it go for someone else's team, just not mine. And I actually had my mind set for Popplio. The jester/cannon/knife thrower trio actually managed to grab my interest on all three of them and that's honestly really fucking hard to pull off. Even the last starter trio as strange as they looked managed to interest me more than these new ones for whatever reason.
People say I'm just going to get over it and get used to them somehow, but it's a bit sad to start a pokemon game without that one burning desire to pick one of the starters and having people say to you you're going to get used to them after a while when you're not fully sure how long that'll take.
Just wish there would be more info on middle stages and whether I should at least bother keeping one of the starters, but never evolving it past its middle stage. It'd at least motivate me to try my hands on a not fully evolved run and that could be fun.
