Rhydon was my pokébro since the first time I saw it in Pokémon blue, so when I transferred my Rhydon from Pokémon fire red to Diamond and evolved it I immediately regret we what I have done to it

Scrafty is probably the best example, but honestly...most of the Gen V dex fits here.

The starters, Watchog, Stoutland, Liepard, Musharna, Unfezant, Swoobat, Conkeldurr, Seismitoad, Darmanitan, Cofagrigus, Carracosta, Garbodor, Vanilluxe, Zoroark, Gothitelle, Swanna, Escavalier, Galvantula, Haxorus...I could go on. And that's not even including all of the shitty Pokemon that evolve into equally shitty Pokemon.

I've tried so, so hard to appreciate this design. I was even hyped as fuck for it with it's evolution item being called "reaper cloth". Instead it's just a lumpy, busy design that I can't make heads or tails of. Completely loses the skull motif of the other two evolutions too.

To be fair, Progyon Z's entire theme is being a corruption, so playing differently makes enough sense. And its not like you'll have to keep pressing B everytime Porygon Z levels up, you have to find an item thats usuall late/post game and then go through the hasslery that is trading.

Not to mention its existence now makes Porgyon 2 one of the best walls available.
I honestly think the Gen 4 corss-evos dealt with what Megas were trying to do way better

Most of your examples are wrong (Escavalier? Fuck you) but I admit I felt deflated when I evolved Scrafty too. Its grown on me a bit since then, but its still not half as good as Scraggy.
