However, and I'm sure it'll still have plenty of watchers no matter what because it's Pokemon, this definitely convinced me that he truly won't ever win and there's no point watching/getting invested in the show. With Tobias you could at least get it because it was a team of legendaries, but this was the hardest they had ever pushed his chances. So, since he couldn't do it here, he won't ever do it.
Mildly upset, but oh well. The XY anime was a mostly fun ride but at least now I can get off.
