With the kalos league done and Alan winning alot of people are dissapointed.
You can't just hype something up like this and make him lose afterwards hoping that it will be ok!? That's bad writing, it was even Pokemons 20th anniversary, do you really want to have a anime character that's getting hated on by everyone?
Even if he wins the league he can still go to the next region! You need to wake up, this is the worst.
