We got a new Pokémon, what more do people want? It wasn't even confirmed that we were getting a new reveal until the actual event, we just knew they were going to show gameplay footage.

Whoever assumed that we were getting anything more than that have no one to blame but themselves, honestly.

We learned something interesting from this.

Namely, that the match apparently ends when one player has all their Pokemon KOd, and the winner is the one who did the KOing, rather than a last-man-standing style match structure.

I'm actually disappointed we didn't get gameplay footage outside the battle royale. A new pokemon is nice, but there are other things to a game.
