Why do some of you even care about Ash?

He's the kind of dense guy who gets carried from town to town waiting for things to happen to him. Everything he does is get Pokémon without having to fight and catch them, then some of his Pokémon get an asspull powerup and he's able to get all the badges.
He was even close to win this time, using a magic Greninja, beating a guy like Shota who trained and learned every single episode he was shown.
Alain trained in the spinoff and in the main series, fought and won against an E4 member and 10 fights in a row without resting. He even fought against Mega Rayquaza.
Ash trained his Pokémon when? In one episode where he got sick because picked a river as training field?
Come on, he doesn't deserve to be top 2, he had to be top 16 again. His Greninja is the same one trick pony of the Kanto league.
