>>27897941We didn't learn about Gale Wings until the game dropped cuz it's a hidden ability, and even then people considered it a niche counter to certain mons until they saw what it could really do. It was my favorite 6th gen addition from the moment I saw it and I was still stunned what a monster it turned out to be.
Also we knew Honedge and Doublade before release but not Aegislash. Unless it was put on the official site in the last days before release but I don't recall that being the case. People were already playing copies that had broken street date by then and discovered its ability.
