If the game really ends up having 16 trials, I won't be using 6 pokemon. I like a lot of the new ones, and the alola forms. The game's structure is different already, so playing it the same as way as before would just make it boring IMO.
I'm thinking about using 1 or 2 different Pokemon per trial, then getting the 3 best ones I used in that island to battle it's Kahuna. And then, if the post-game indeed has an Elite 4, I'll assemble a team of 6 from the ones I tried out.
