Can someone explain to me please why did they changed her - the first female trainer in the series - for a fucking Mario bros. cosplayer?
I know Ken Sugimori didnt design SS/HG but seriously?

Not even a modicum of respect. Am I the only one that seriously got upset about this?

Gen 2 games are very close to my heart and seeing them not giving it a proper update "Sugimori" Style made me sad.

I wish Pokemon had figured it wuld change every generation back then.

Nope. She is literally best girl. Well, Emerald May is good too. They look like in-shape Pokemon wranglers that belong in the field. Not fucking Lyra or Serena wearing a dress and heels. Looks like they're going to a bridal shower, not hiking hundreds of miles capturing and training wild animals.

Look at Crystal's footwear and backpack. She looks prepared. Not carrying a fucking purse and wearing slip-on dress shoes.
