People always try to come up with these shitty gimmicks, but it's just way easier and more reliable to pick a pokemon with iron defense/acid armor. Ghost/Ground isn't even that good of a type. It will only be worth gimmicks like that if it has arena trap, which is still not as good as shadow tag, but could be useful in multis

The concept of the ability makes sense, but not the execution. It should raise Special Defense sharply, or maybe reduce damage from Water-type attacks by 50% while increasing one or the other Defense by one stage.

Yeah, it's bound to get arena trap as a HA, and maybe GF thought that was too powerful of an ability to get in game.

It will have its gimmicks though,as someone stated above, you can use it in doubles with a water shuriken accelgor which is a 66% chance that it will maximize its defense stat, so as long as it is naturally bulky for Sp defense (or has a sp defense boosting move) it can be a mighty wall

It depends on the stats and movepool, but I kind of doubt it. Unfortunately ghosts usually have poor physical attacks, and ground usually have poor special attacks. It will either get used for shadow ball or earthquake, but probably not both

A pokemon is basically guaranteed to have one of those typings. Shadow ball / ice beam / grass knot are widely available. This thing is weak to everything that you don't want to be weak to.

Dusclops is even worse.

Ghost types are garbage walls, every time they try it they fail. Shit hp, weak to a bunch of common shit, slow as fuck, bad STAB, have to rely on pain split, and a whole myriad of other issues. This one doesn't even have a decent ability to fall back to.
