Me and opponent are down to our last Pokemon in a PU battle. All my Lapras has to do is land two Surfs to win, and it'll take at least 7 turns before theirs can kill mine, and I have Rest/Chesto Berry to boot.

Opponent uses Thunder Wave. Proceeds to be paralyzed for 5 turns in a row, only not being paralyzed on the turn that I Rest up to save myself from dying. Continues to be paralyzed another 3 turns, then gets off a Surf that brings opposing Mon down to critical hp.

Is paralyzed every turn for the rest of the battle, and loses. And no, they weren't using para-flinch. Just good old fashioned "fuck you" rng.

I was legitimately angry about the ORAS animated trailer. I was expecting something like the BW2 trailer and for important characters like Team Aqua and Magma to appear. But no, almost the entire fucking thing was about fucking Megas. All of which were going to be in the regular anime anyway. Couldn't even bother setting aside a couple seconds to show the main villains, and now ORAS Aqua and Magma will never be animated.

When my cousin deleted my Pokemon White saved game.

Through poketransfer I had gotten all my pokes all the way back from Sapphire onto the cartridge. I had gone to every event since the beginning on Generation 4, And I was so fuckin' close to completing the Pokedex simply off my own efforts.

I lost everything. I can't go back to those events, I can't re-encounter those shinies I've had since Gen 3. And the icing on the cake, he also stole my Platinum and Soulsilver cartridges.

The White cartridge just sits here on my desk, day in and day out. I haven't turned it on, since.

If it helps any, there was an exploit found a month or so ago letting you inject with any 3ds firmware. Even if you're against injecting, if I were you I would at least inject all of the event pokes.

Also, I went looking for the games. He lost both of them, along with a bunch of others. Those were just the only two I cared about. I may inject at some point, but I've basically done nothing in Gen 6 as of right now. I'd need to buy ORAS and put a bunch of hours into the games.

I'm pretty sure you can just inject someone else's save file, effectively skipping the entire game. I'm honestly not entirely sure though as I haven't done anything in gen 6 either - sold my copy of Y a few months after launch.

Pretty much when I learned to take the stats of mons more seriously and found out that 90% of them are unusable trash. Gamefreak clearly has no idea of actual balance and doesn't care enough to simply change the stats of more pokemon, despite last gen giving +10 stats to a couple random mons

I had a similar experience with Alpha sapphire... I Had a shiny Glaceon with fantastic stats, my roommate stole my cartridge... I thought I had misplaced it.... A week later he sent me a video of him releasing Glaceon and deleting my game, since I was the landlord at that time I evicted him, and kept his xbox out of spite...

If Gen 1:

The Mega Punch TM you have from Mt Moon. It's also a rebuyable at Celadon. IMO, it's all ogre once you get a hold of Strength though, and Horn Attack is fairly good itself. Thrash isn't much of a loss.
