I'm not saying Pokemon is perfect or whatever strawman argument you'll create in rebuttal to this. However if there is an actual basis for this thing and it does make sense, then yeah you are being reactionary by saying "Stop getting in the way of my anger with facts, no I just hate it, its bad so I hate it". There's an entire culture based on hating things instantly, doesn't matter if it just fits, doesn't matter if they don't know anything about it yet, they just wanted to hate. When we finally do learn a bit about it and suddenly it makes sense, they're still committed to the hate.
Yeah if there's a real life animal for this and it isn't something that lives in water, then its fine. They created a turtlemon recently that's fire/dragon instead of living in water, and that's also fine. No one needs to think that deeply about this shit. Pokemon was always bullshit anyway.
