...the only one I'd know of is removing the 30% boost from the -Ate abilities and giving Lucario something other than Double-STAB on those stats of his.

This one is harder. I'd say change adaptability but that's the easy way out. Maybe an overall nerf to adaptability from 2x damage to 1.75 instead?

Only with even more bulk pokemon? Yeah, but it all depends on the trainer who is willing to risk a new strategy. Most of them try to play safe and avoid wildcards, thats all.

I've seen both equally throughout the competitive scene and it just seems that the damage and utility coming from such a high bst pokemon are equally as powerful as kangaskhan in doubles

It's strong, but not overpowered like Mega Mom, and there are enough ways to take care of it. Kangaskhan gets Fake Out, Sucker Punch, sub breaking, a damaging Birds Dance, and incredible bulk while only having one weakness.

A total star rehaul is the only way. Most rpgs have balance patches frequently.

They wont though so competitive pokemon will always be bland.

Same thing with other rpgs when one class is stronger then the others. You will see everyone playing that one class and the other classes are all rare making the game bland.

New designs will only keep people satisfied for so long until they get tired of falling in love with it and then having to ditch it for better options and just quit pokemon.

Out of curiosity, why isn't anyone using Ditto? It's too inconsistent normally, but when almost every team is guaranteed to be packing a Mega Mom, PriDon, and Xerneas, and with two of the three frequently on the battlefield at the same time, wouldn't being able to get a second Mega/third Primal with a held item seems useful.

Gengar is inescapable and results in no-win scenarios if switched into the right pokemon. you're losing whoever is trapped. no ifs, ands, or buts.

MegaMom doesn't need an ability catered to countering her. she needs Parental Bond nerfed so she can't effortlessly setup and wallbreak at the same time.

Mega Lucario hits WAY too hard for anything other than Ubers. Adaptability needs to be reduced a tad.

why 25% for the -ates? it's still getting STAB off of every normal type move it can learn, which is NUTS. it doesn't need a boost on TOP of that.

Why would you use Hyper Voice with Aurorus in singles if the Ate didn't give it a boost? Ice beam is better in singles, Blizzard is a decent alternative to Hyper voice in doubles without the boost because of the damage difference alone. In Singles Garde and Sylveon should just use Moonblast over hyper voice, Dazzling Gleam is only 10 BP less they might as well have different abilities if the Ate didn't boost damage. The only special cases are Pinsir and Mence for barely having a flying STAB.

It's base HP (Which doesn't get changed on transforming) is below HALF the base HP of the Pokemon you just listed.

As well as not being reliable, Since it won't just mesh with the team, especially considering it'll take the spot of something more reliable that you could bring into certain situations.

On top of that, if it ends up getting sent out without a Pokemon in front of it, it won't copy. Meaning the battles can't be close.

Plus, what item would you even run? Too many possible copies for a single item to actually be useful. If you go Choiced it's bad to copy either Phy or Spec opponents and are locked into picking one most of the time, if you Scarf then you can't clone Tanks or Utility. As well as your choice of offense is limited to a SINGLE attack at 5 PP.
