The designs aren't very good.
I know Pokemon has had various designs that aren't all that appealing, but the sprites in this game just aren't great, the colors clash too much, and it just doesn't look right.

hacked roms are a pain in the ass to set up for the players.

RPG maker you just download the game and play it. Roms, i got to download three different files and the emulator, then i got to fuck around patching the rom and sometimes the patch won't take. Seriously, fuck dealing with romhacks.

I'll give you that, the shiny is amazing and the design is actually pretty nice, but it just falls flat on so many different things. Being a healer is the only good thing it can do and even then barely. Maybe if it had slightly better stats I probably wouldn't even complain.

Still a plague doctor evo would've been good. Not really like Miasmedic, but similar.

Black and White was the best exactly because it was an entirely new dex of new pokemon to fuck about with.
