>>27941738Fishing always felt under-utilized in the game, to me. Aside from catching Magikarp to raise into Gyarados, which you can do with the Old Rod, there was no point. By the time you get the better rods, you've already found a Water-type for your party just running through the grass. Then there's the ones you encounter with surfing, which is mandatory, so fishing and pulling up the same Pokemon you just found from surfing feels pointless.
