And talking about weak, the same applies to Mightyena, they know that it can't outright KO'd anything with a bit of Bulk, so they switch "safely" to another thing; that's what Crunch for, so at the end of the turn, Toxic Orb kicks in, and Mightyena will Outspeed them next turn.
If Crunch managed to take at least 45% of their health, I can try to land the KO with Facade. And some times Crunch will lower their Defense Stat, so they're going to be in a not so comfortable spot. That's it.
And about Heracross, yup. Protect is to avoid Fake Out and help a little bit in general. Arm Thrust is garbage, 5-hits is only 75 base power. Since Doubles is all about knowing when to hit and bring down, Close Combat can bring down sturdy fuckers in a single blow. When I use it in singles I give him Swords Dance instead of Protect.
