we have a sun moth pokemon not a counterpart.
As soon as we got the legendary trademark names, i had a feeling the moon legendary was a moth, it should've been but they chose a bat :/

Meh, a huge bat flying across the sky with otherworldly anatomy is kinda cool for something to represent the Moon.

But I'm not against a lunar moth-based Pokemon.

They choose a bat as they are nocturnal animals that can potentially look like a moon phase when they fly. Pretty smart move from Gamefreak.
