Since the 2D art is trash level this gen would you mind if they moved on to posed HQ renders of the in-game models next gen for the "official art"?

Not really. The artstyle's quality is never going back to the original Sugimori level, so they might as well fully embrace the 3D.

They're the same models as XY for support Pokemon. With better textures, they'd look alright.
