If you're talking about Gen IV in particular it also has Magmortar, Rotom-Heat, and Heatran.

But yeah, Diamond and Pearl didn't have enough fire-types. Platinum fixed that up well.

That's kind of forgivable because the previous gen had so many good Bug Pokémon. Seriously, Gen 5 is like the Golden Age of Bug-types.
