I can't remember much now of exactly what happened, but basically, among a few mons I managed to train, a Ledian named Trigger was one of them in my X save file.
I believe I was training my team and then decided to take a gym leader rematch with Grant in that big facility, the Battle Chateau. By that time, I already think I had Trigger at max happiness and max Amie.
Suffice to say, there was a point where my Ledian came across a very over leveled Aurorus and clearly not well prepared enough by my own mistake since I didn't know about the sudden level rise gym leaders could obtain in there.
I'm not sure how to say this, but basically, several turns during that battle between them amounted to Ledian being literally brought down to 1 HP and being completely frozen. I had lost count how many turns had passed.
Trigger managed to endure every single one of them due to max affection, every turn at 1HP and completely frozen, unable to do anything and yet, enduring everything it could.
I don't know what drove me to push that little thing even further, but beyond all expectations, Trigger decided to thaw himself out (again, due to max affection) and in that same turn, bring Aurorus down.
Although I like to think he literally Mach Punch'd the fucking ice and obliterated that fucking Aurorus.
