Please help, been fumbling with this issue for years.

Is there any known working combination of emulator/rom for HG/SS? Any downloads I've tried have just resulted in frequent black screens/pixelation early and often, but I see youtubers everywhere able to successfully complete letsplays.

>inb4 just buy the game, I already own a DS and Heart Gold. This is just for nuzlocke speedruns and randomization.
