I think some leakers try to cover up the leaks by planting false info just in case so there won't be legal repercussions.

It's not really clear if they actually had inside info or if they were an extremely lucky guesser, but they predicted many of the early newcomers, including the less common guesses like Wii Fit Trainer and Pacman.

I think he was just lucky
a lot of people were posting fake leaks, so eventually one of them had to guess a few right

either way, he was only half right at the first reveal, so his credibility was already lost

You missed the shitstorm when Pac-Man and the Miis were revealed at the 2nd E3, then. For a good few weeks many people took his word as god. It wasn't until Lucina and Robin were revealed instead of Shulk (while also BTFO his Chrom prediction) that he lost his credibility.
