Is there a pokemon you just can't be without? that you feel weird when its not in your team.

Not really, I like to give my favorite mons a chance, so I usually switch my in-game team a lot after the E4.
Competitively, I don't know, I like to have fun with different sets and mons, just like in-game

Ever since he saved me from that Metagross, I can't use any other Ground type anymore other then Gliscor. It feels odd even on teams where I use Garchomp or Lando.

But its in BL, you can use it, just pac some counters for Volc's own counters and you can make it work.

It can be a beast in bugmono teams, but I imagine most people dont like that format

Nearly every playthrough I've done, I've tried to have the slow, bulky Rock type. For the first four generations it was Golem, fifth gen it was Gigalith. Sixth gen was the first time I did without, and it didn't feel right. I hope Alola has some nice Rock mons, or at least recycle Geodude.

Scizor is my glue. I run a lot of Dragons and really can't be without this guy running defense (and defog for my Charizard). It's been this way since Gen 4.

Zubat are super common across the games, and only need friendship to evolve to Crobat. Very, very varied and expansive movepool, easy Fly HM candidate, sweet typing and stats, classic design. It's just too fucking good. Brobat for life.

Used to be Conkeldur because he had 4 things going on for him. high power. SR resist, status absorb and health recovery. But eventually I became Clef/fairyphobic and had to find a replacement.

My team stapple is Skarmory. for those wirlwinds and entry hazards
