Think it's gonna Poison/Psychic or Fairy/Psychic, probably the former. The reason for this is when we think about it the 3rd Gen Mascot Legendary Typing Trend got mimicked in XY with it being unrelatedly related. Thus can see them doing it in SM where it's based on 4th Gen's style: one's Psychic/Ghost, another's Psychic/Steel and the last is Psychic/Poison so if it's built right Malshadow/Marshadow can body the Tapus. This leads you to call upon the mascot legendary to stop it OR Malshadow like subdues and combines with each mascot legendary like B2W2 And you have to fight that Manticore monstrosity with help from Zygarde.

Maybe it's set up where in 4th Gen Remakes tell us the why and we find out there's a relation of the Alolan Legendaries to the Unovan Legendaries (one combines to form a being that embodies Light or absence of it and the other embodies Energy or the absence of it. ) So it be like badass super dragon vs. badass lion/scorpion/bat/shark/monkey monster. Idfk I just want a god damn Manticore and they alread y made up pokefusions for one set of "Pokemerican" legendaries why not the others?
