I teach in a mid to high poverty area. Most kids in my classes have ONLY played gen 1 and 2 because mom/dad/older sis/Bro handed off their old stuff. You're considered a rich kid if you played XY/ORAS.
14 year olds are just as bad with the genwunner mentality to try and score cool points with the Pokemon teachers.
