>>28024219>RSE fucked the series No, it let the series grow. It's fine if you want to wallow in nostalgia, but having the same cast over and over and over and over would make the games fucking boring and everyone would complain about rehashing the exact same content over and over.
Can you imagine 7 generations of team rocket? Fuck that, they were already pushing it with the storyline in G/S/C, another gen of copy/paste would have left people with a sour taste in their mouths.
I like what they have done - a good portion of the characters that come back are either in remakes, or are there as plot devices for side/postgame content (Cynthia, for example.)
When we finally get things like the PWT, it makes it that much better because we have so many memories, and not just the same cast of 20~ people.
