Nope, for me I didn't look at guides so much back then, and I was obsessed with the Chateau. Spent hours in there as I was sure it held some secret, constantly trying to catch up with the ghost npc's and find it's story — eventually I encountered Rotom. It was a golden moment in pokemon.

Does anyone remember that trainer from celestial tower that had the litwick?
If you beat her, it says she feels "really tired".

The pokedex entry says that litwick absorb the life force and the flame on their head gets bigger the more it absorbs.

Pokemon Snap had a really good atmosphere in all of its levels. As a kid, many of them could be interpreted as spooky in some way (the cave and the river come to mind: they're not meant to be scary, but there's parts of the levels that can be ominous and intimidating to a little kid).
The tunnel was easily the king, though. Best level.

She died before her dad/someone could get her the Lunar Wing (says she doesn't need it anymore and is now safe from the danger) so we can say that she died before she could wake up from Darkrai's nightmares. Can't say much about the rest of the family, but father apparently went to look for the Lunar Wing and never came back (because she remained asleep until the end) so he either died while looking for it or she died before he made it. The house is abandoned so he probably fucked off after her death or killed himself or something, if he was alive after her death.

It doesn't take a genius to put two and two together anon.
All you have to do is apply it to what we know about Cresselia and what Darkrai can do.
Not to mention that there are actually books describing Darkrai and Cresselia specifically.

So basically Darkrai caused the nightmares of the child and they began to take a toll on the kid. While they were searching for a Lunar Wing to cure her ailments they taught an Abra dream eater to eat the dreams as a temporary solution.
Eventually the child died before a wing could be used.

Sendoff Spring is pretty creepy imo. It has this half bridge thing going nowhere. I thought it was a prime location for falling or killing yourself when I was younger, since the Turnback Cave is right down there

Darkrai usually tries to get away from humans and pokemon, hence why in Sinnoh he was on a far off island, not to mention he was on an island right next to Cresselia.

In BW2, this Darkrai was haunting a girl, and the fact that the father had to go searching for the Cresselia, means that this Darkrai was not close to one to try and combat its uncontrollable power. It purposefully stayed close to the girl to either kill her or was too stupid to realize that it was killing her.

I was playing with my brother and my cousin, and I wandered into the Chateau for no particular reason. I don't think I went into there at all up until that point, so all the spooky shit started happening to me for the first time right in front of both of them. Finding Rotom was pure luck, since they both tried to catch him too but it wouldn't work.

Roughly the same story with Giratina. Wandering around in Diamond, and I find a path that wasn't there before, which leads to an area and a cave I had no idea about. This was followed by my sheer terror when I reach a room with some giant centipede abomination sitting in the middle of it. Just hearing its cry gave me chills.
