They'll do it anyway even if Luchalitten is fake because of the new way they design starters. Face it, when was the last pokemon that "just got bigger" without some weird gimmick? It was Swampert (which got a bipedal buff mega evolution). If you want quadrupedal fire cats you have Flareon, Pyroar and maybe that type changing leaked cat (if it ends up real) as options.
