No, sales are not really affected by piracy. The percentage of people who even pirate is very small. Especially with something as new as 3DS homebrewing.

The only way I can see piracy severely impacting SM sales is if .cia ends up leaking a month or so before the actual game release just like the latest 3DS Kirby game did.
