Even though it's patently obvious to anyone with half a brain that if Game Freak wanted to base all the Grass starters on prehistoric animals they'd use animals that people immediately recognize as prehistoric instead of snakes, hedgehogs, and fucking owls, the same way if they wanted to base all Fire starters on the zodiac they would've used the exact animal and not made them something completely different and said "eh, close enough". But fuck Occam's razor, of course they wanted "muh patterns" to be so subtle only drooling autists like OP could recognize them.
I still have no idea where or when weaponfags became a thing and I'm not entirely convinced they're not just mocking the other patternfags.
